The camera is still functional except for a missing hood. In fact the hood was already missing before I even started to use the camera, so I always had to use improvised hoods with it. If anybody knows how to get my hands on a suitable hood I would be ecstatic to hear about it. (OK, I admit it, I am the one responsible for the missing hood: I was at the time about five years old and bored and asking insistently for that interesting metal and glass thingy so that I can play with it. To my amazement my granmdma (who I learned later had no notion whatsoever about photography) actually gave it to me! My dad came less than five minutes later to rescue his camera, but as far as the hood is concerned it was way too late (the rest of the camera survived though).
